Mission Statement: The mission of Gresham Middle School is to develop responsible, lifelong learners by encouraging all students to reach their potential.
Gresham Middle School is located in Fountain City, Tennessee. It is located in northern Knoxville. The school was once the location of Central High School. Classrooms were set up traditionally, with the chalkboard as the central focus. Extensive remodeling has continued over the years to accommodate the growth of the school's students. Gresham Middle is one of 18 middle schools located in the city of Knoxville. Gresham is a public school serving over 700 students. The school presently employs over seventy teachers and twenty support staff members. Students at the school are almost equally numbered by gender, with males outnumbering females. Classrooms have 16-20 students in each room. Most classrooms will have one full-time classroom teacher. During mathematics and reading classes, Special Education teachers help students as needed. The school also meets the needs of several ESL students, support for those students is provided by the classroom teacher.
Weather Observation WeekStudents observed and recorded the weather for one week. The class began recording on Wednesday November 9, 2011. During the observation the students recorded the air pressure, wind speed, temperature, humidity, and other factors related to weather.
